Lord Charles Beresford vacates the command of the Ohannol Fleet on March 24, when the ships of the Edward VII. class will bo formed into a second division of Admiral May’s fleet, under Sir Berkeley Milne. (Received Feb. 15, 11.46 p.m.) LONDON, Feb. 15. The “Standard” protests against Lord Charles Bcrcsford’s transference to half pay while a year of his command is outstanding, particularly as the constitution of the main fleet in Home waters is being effected on the very principle he has been advocating.
