THE PENGUIN DISASTER.
SYMPATHY FROM SYDNEY. [Press Association.] AUCKLAND, Fob. IS. The Premier has received the following cable from Mr. Alien Taylor, Lord Mayor of Sydney: “On behalf of the citizens of Sydney. we tender our deepest (sympathy with your people in the sad loss of so many lives by the Penguin disaster.” ' Sir Joseph Ward replied, expressing deep appreciation for the sympathetic message. NO MORE BODIES FOUND. WELLINGTON, Feb. IS. The weather to-day was fine and the sea the scene of the Penguin wreck, Imt no more bodies were recovered. , c. An attempt will be made to locate the sunken vessel to-morrow. Misses Nodcn and Hunt, victims of the disaster, were buried to-day. The remains of Mr. Mclntyre, chief officer, and Mr. Wharton Shaw, a passenger, were shipped by the Uliinaroa. to-day for Hobart and Melbourne respectively. .
