A first-class programme was then gone through, the following ladies and gentlemen contributing -items: —Mrs. T. Clarkson,, recitation; Messrs Heathcote (song), Rhinesmith (violin solo). Harry (song), Barraclough (piano and clarionet solos), J. Chrisp (cornet so'd), Lancaster (recitation), H. J. Brownlee (song), W. Barlow and R. Mitchell (song)." The church orchestra also played a selection, the choir contributed an item, and a quartette partv sang ‘-'Steal Away.” Airs. Brownlee played the accompaniments. At the conclusion of the entertainment, Air. Toneycliffe made an appeal for funds towards the cost of erecting new class-rooms. Refreshments were then handed, round to the audience. It was stated that the building fund will benefit to the extent of £2O as/the result of the entertainment.
