CONFLICTING STATEMENTS. (Press Association.) WESTPORT. March 9. __ In connection with the controversy between Mr. Pryor, secretary of the Employers’ Federation, and labor representatives, relative to work for builders in Queensland, Mr. Pryor is now in Westport. He states that ho has received a letter from the secretary of the Employers’ Federation at Queensland, stating that lie will take all the workers in the building trade available that Air. Pryor can recommend. Mr. Pryor is leaving for Wellington to-day to see what can bo done in the matter. WELLINGTON, March 9. The secretary of the Wellington Trades Council' states that, in reply to an enquiry, ho has received" a cablegram stating that- bricklayers’ work is not plentiful in Queensland.
