The East Edinburgh election resulted as follows Gibson (Freetrader) 1527; Ford (Tariff Reformer) 4069. [At the last general election G. AleCrae (Liberal) was returned by 6006 votes against 2432 recorded for R. Dawson (Liberal Unionist).]
