ELECTION NOTICES. TO THE ELECTORS OF THE BOROUGH OF u.^iiORNE. T ADIES AND GENTLEMEN,— lJ If it wore not that important proposals arc being promoted for the improvement of thd Borough of Gisborne,' or had I consulted ray own inclination, I should have retired Jto make way for some of the younger citizens that are offering their services, but when matters involving large expenditure and much increased rating arc to be dealt with, 1 felt it an inopportune time to leave these important matters to less experienced men. Your «mtinued confidence in me as one of your representatives during a period of 31 years places me under a lasting debt of gratitude. My interests being identical with your own is tho best guarantee I. can offer that your futuic welfare will be promoted) to the best of my ability. Yours faithfully, J. WHINE AY.
