HOCKEY.
SEVEN-A-SIDIG TOURNAMENT. The rain greatly interfered Avith the play in the hockey matches on tho Victoria Domain, yesterday afternoon. Three games were; played, the spells being ten minutes, and the fields seven tnen .aside. City defeated Y.M.C.A. by 1 goal to nil, and West End defeated Civil Service by 2 goals to nil. In the final West End defeated City by 2 goals to nil. THURSDAY COMPETITION. The i'olloAving is the draw for the first round of the Tim rod a competition -to commence on The 6th May:— May 6th: Civil Servants y. Vest End, '2.15 p.m.; and City v. Km Kaha, 3.30 p.m. ; Y.M.C.A. bye. May 13th: West End y. Y.M.CA., 2.15 p.m; Kia Kaha v Civil Seiwants, 3.30 p.m.; City bye. May 20th: Y.M.C.A. v. City, 2.10 p.m.; Kia Kaha A r . West End, 3.30 p.m.: Civil Servants, bye. May 27th: Citv v. Civil Servants. 3.30 p.m.; Y.M.C.A. v. Kia Ivaha, 2.15 p.m.; West End. bye. .. June 3rd: West End v. City, 3.30 p.m.; Civil Servants v. Y.M.C.A., 2.10 p.m.; Kia Kaha, a bye. Mr Armstrong has been appointed referee for the match, Civil Servants v. West End, on the 6th prox., and Mr. Olsen is to take charge of-the City v. Kia Kaha match. In connection with the Thurscay competitions, the secretaries of A r anqus clubs are requested to sec that a list of players be handed to the secretary of the Association on the day previous to the match, for publication. The matter of forming a Referees Association, and of electing a postponement committee will be considered at the next meeting of the Hockey Association.
