Iho “Telegraph's” Constantinople correspondent reports that Slievket ma-de a forced inarch of 14 hours, and occupied Constantinople on Saturday, instead of Sunday. He learned from Tewfik Pasha of preparations being made for a general-massacre on Saturday, hence the order to take the reactionaries unawares. Advices from Smyrna state that the recent massacres :in Asia Minor were ,^'p;anned from Constantinople, in view ' vrf provoking the intervention of the Powers and ending the Constitutional regime. The town of Adana has been burnt, and the survivors are dying from famine. CONSTANTINOPLE, April 30. It is understood that the late Sultan, Abdul Hamid, will not be tried. The Moslems of India congratulate •bn new tSultan *nd expressed the hope that Abdul Hamid would be .personally tinharmed.
