MELBOURNE, May 12
An arrest has been made in connection with tho Richmond tragedy. O’Sullivan, a butcher, living next door in a house belonging to the victim, "was arrested on a charge of drunkenness and discharged. A butcher’s steel was found among the bedclothes in the victim’s house. O’Sullivan admitted that it belonged to him. He could not say how it came into Mrs. Gallagher’s (the victim’s) possession. It had been lying about his yard for some time. He admitted that he was in arrears "with his rent, and that the deceased had gerved him with notice to quit. He Istoutly denied any connection with the murder.
