Reuter states that tho Defence Conference has been postponed to tho end of July in the hope that Sir Joseph Ward will be able to attend. Colonel Seely, Under-Secretary for the Colonies, replying to Mr. Cecil Harmsworth, member for Mid-Worces-tershire, declined to include the question of Asiatic immigration to tho selfgoverning colonies in the discussion at the Conference.
