POLICE OURT.
MONDAY, MAY 17. Mr. R-obert Johnson J.P., in the absence of Mr. W. A. Barton, S.M., presided over a sitting of the Police Court yesterday. DRUNKENNESS . On charges- of being drunk Joseph Todhill, who failed to appear, was convicted of a second offence and fined 18e with cqsts 2s; Elsie Olsen, who also had. a previous Conviction was mulcted in a similar penalty; Robert Clarkson admitted a : third offence within the past few weeks and was fined £1 in default 4 days’ imprisonment; Joseph Condon failed to answer to his name, and was ordered to forfeit the amount of his surety £1; JdifiV.Heapliy ,an old offender, pleaded'tguilty* to the charge of drunkenness, butbaaitlieih was also a charge of procuring, liquoy/ while under a prohibition remanded to appear before the stipendary magistrate. . - v PROCURING LIQUOR. Oil charges of procuring liquor Richard Solomon, James McConville, Robert Russell and Adam Knock wore remanded until Wednesday. SEPARATION ORDER. The case of Helen Mary Wilson v. Francis Edward Wilson, claim for a separation order on the ground of cruelty, was remanded until 'Wednesday next.
