Subscriptions to the New South Wales loan are coming in slowly. It is doubtful if tho public will take 30 per cent., and it is generally considered, that the Government made a good bargain with the underwriters in obtaining 98-L Financiers commend the Government’s foresight in anticipating the new Canadian loan of at least six millons, which has been postponed for some weeks, Canada’s advisers considering that the stocks of money for colonial securities are exhausted for the present.
