WEST’S PICTURES. West’s Pictures and Orchestral Band will commence a season of two nights in His Majesty’s Theatre this evening. Really fine programme.sof now films will bo shown during the season, and the subjects will embrace every description of picture which it is possible to procure. None of the slides displayed by the combination on previous occasions will be repeated, as tlie continuous; purchase and supply of new subjects enables the management to promise programmes equal in ' merit to their past efforts, but entirely new to Gisborne audiences. ■ The orchestral selections will also be carefully selected, and in every way appropriate and in keeping with the rest of the entertainment. The management desire to draw attention to the prices, which are on a very moderate scale, viz., Is 6d, Is, and 6d, booking 6d extra. The box plan is on view at Miller’s. THE LAUGHING GALLERY. The Laughing Gallery, described as “the funniest show in the world,” will open a tliree-days season in Lowe Street, near Miller's Corner, this morning. This show was visited by upwards of 300.000 persons at the late New Zealand International Exhibition at Christchurch, and has proved phenomenally successful wherever exhibited. At the winter chow just concluded at Auckland, it was a very prominent feature. The Auckland Star said in its report that "They seemed to take more notice of tlie J.aughing Gallery than all the rest of the exhibits put together.” The "allery will be open daily from 10 to 10.
