Mr. H. D. Buchanan, of Palmerston. North, who returned from Australia by the Warrimoo, speaks highly of tha prospects of land settlement in New South Wales. Three New Zealand settlers \wiio went for the specific purpossof sering out the land state they are going to sell up their New Zealand property and settle in Australia. ->ir. Buchanan himself is not doing so, but states that land is cheaper there, th®labor problem is less acute, and there is less State interference and taxation.
