LAND SETTLEMENT.
BALLOT AT WELLINGTON. [Per Press Association.] WELLINGTON, July 3. Ballots wore held yesterday by the Commissioner for Crown Lands (Mr. Jas. MacKenzie) for village settlement blocks at Ohalcune, Rangatana, and Pohunui. The results were as follows: —Ohakune, five acre block, six applicants, drawn by W. Ginders, Ohakune: Rangatana, two blocks of one acre each, ten applicants, drawn by George Harris, Rangatana: Pohunui, section 46, three applicants, drawn by A. Tegner, Pohunui, who also purchased lor cash four quarter-acre sections in the same block at the upset price of £l7 ; Pohunui, section 18, three applicants, drawn by .E. Holt, Featlierston. There were, ho anplications for the remaining sections.
