AMBULANCE SATURDAY
■ COLLECTION AT WANGANUI. (Per Press Association.) WANGANUI, July 3. An ambulance ■ Saturday, instituted by the ladies’ branch of the Defence League to procure funds for providing a district nurse and medical lectures free to men, is being observed to-day. The weather is bitterly cold and showery, and the canvassers are having an uncomfortable time. WANGANUI, July 4. Wretched weather was experienced for Ambulance” Saturday, but the workers remained gallantly at their posts and succeeded in collecting over £2OO, the exact amount not being known yet.
