The Auckland Ladies’ Hockey Association decided to-night that a representative team should take part in. the . : v\v Zealand championship tournament at Napier next month. SHIELD MATCHES. The hockey shield matches were resumed on the Domain yesterday in splendid weather. West End and Civil Service were the first team to take the field, and a good gome resulted in a win for the former team by two goals to one. S. Roderick scored both coals for the winners, while Rudman notched the score for CivilAir. P. W. Bushnell was the referee. Citv and Kia Kaba next tried conclusions. The latter were poorly represented, and City had_an easy victory by four goals to nil. nor the winners Day scored three goals and Grinlhfton one. The game was. controlled by Mr. Grenfell.
