THE SELWYN CRAIG’S EXPERIENCE. BATTLING AGAINST GALES FOR EIGHTEEN DAYS. United Press Association—Copyright (Received August 9, 12.30 a.m.) SYDNEY, August 8. The Selwyn Craig, from Auckland, has arrived here. She was bound to Melbourne, and struck bad weather off the coast. For 18 days she was battling off Cape Howe, and the gales drove her eastward. The captain decided ’to make Sydney, and the vessel arrived here undamaged.
