LAND SLIPS CAUSE DELAY
(Per Press Association.) TAIHAPE, August 9. Owing to a slip at- a cutting north of Ohakune, the Auckland express was delayed for three hours, the engine being too damaged to proceed. A special engine was sent from here. The Governor and Tommy Burns (ex-cham-pion hoxer) are on the train. A large crowd assembled to see the latter, hut he took refuge in the dining car, of which the blinds were down. He refused to answer calls.
