THE FROZEN MEAT MARKET

NAPIER, August 11-. The Colonial Consignment and Distributing Company, Ltd., London, today cabled the following report on the frozen meat market: “There is a further fall in the value of lamb. To-day’s quotations are: Mutton, Canterbury, 2gd, Napier, Wellington, and North Island, 2-td; lamb, first quality 3Jd, second quality 3|d. Beef, hindquarters 3|d, forequarters 2|d.” THE TALLOW AUCTIONS. United Press Association—Copyright LONDO->, August 11. At the tallow auctions 2130 casks were offered and 583 sold, there being an average decline of 3d. CANADIAN WHEAT YIELD. OTTAWA, August 11. . The Canadian Department of Agriculture estimates the July wheat yield in Mantioba, Sasketchewan, and Alberta at 157.464.000 bushels, compared with 110,524’000 in July, 1908. THE HIDES MARKET.
