TURANGANUI CLUB
The monthly meeting of the Committee of the Turanganui Bowling Club Avas held in the Record Reign Hotel last evening, there being present Messrs W. Bruce (President), M. G. Nasmith, junr., J. Jeun-e, J. Colley, J. P. Williams, and AV. O. Sheet (secretary).In compliance Avitli a resolution passed at the annual meeting of the club, the committee made the chief business of the meeting the revision of the club’s rules. A complete revision' and classification of the rules and by-laws of the club Avere brought for\vard, and after two hours’ consideration AA'ere tentatively passed. Instructions were given for printed copies to be made of the amended set of rules, and Avhen available Avill be finally considered by the committee prior to presentation to a special meeting of the club for the purpose of adoption. No less than tweh-c awrications Avere made for the position of caretaker to the club. After discussion it was resolved that the appointment of a caretaker be left over till Wednesday afternoon, AA'hen an apoointment will be made. » It was resoh-ed to A T ote a small bonus to the acting-caretaker for his attention to the green and for extra Avork clone.
The "Ground Committee' reported as to the progress being made with The laying down of the new green, and other improA’ements. SeA'eral further improvements Avere authorised, and others held over for further consideration. Accounts amounting to about £4O Avere passed for payment.
