COMMISSIONER OF POLICE.
DENIES THE REPORT OF HIS RESIGNATION. (Per Press Association.) NAPIER, August 17. Interviewed concerning the report from Wellington of his contemplated resignation, Mr. Dinme gave it an unqualified denial. He had, he said, already contradicted the statement, and the Minister for Justice followed the same course. “The statement may be contradicted again?” said the reporter. ' “Yes, there is no truth in it,” replied Mr. Dinnie.
