x THE RUGBY GAME. JUNIOR CHAMPIONSHIP. The final of the junior championship competition under the auspices of the Poverty Bay Rugby Union will be played on Victoria Domain this after-' noon, between Y.M.C.A. and. KaitiCity, commencing at 3 o’clock. GISBORNE FOOTBALL CLUB. A meeting of the committee of the Gisborne Football Club was held at the British Empire Hotel last night, Mr. M. Ansell presiding. The sub-commit-tee appointed to allocate the medals and trophies won during the present season reported they had been gained as follows: —Mr. R. Seymour’s medal for best back, J. Pollock; Mr. J. F. Pettie’s medal for best forward, J. Lyons; Mr. J. E. Newton’s medal was allocated to F. Delaney as equa] forward' with J. Lyons. The president’s (Mr. D. J. Barry’s medal) for the most improved back was awarded to H. Henderson; the president’s medal for the •most improved forward, F. Seymour;' Mr. It. Robertson’s trophy for the most unselfish player, W. Neilil ;Me«srs Douglas Bros.’ and Air. H. J. Grieve’s attendance medals, J. E. Newton, junr., and T. Swain. It was decided that the club’s annual smoke concert should be held at 7.30 p.m. on Tuesday next, September 28, at Mr. Clare’s rooms.

It was resolved that the dosing general meeting for the year should be held on the evening of Monday, October 4. Messrs E. Austin and F. Higgs were •e’ected to act in conjunction with the dub committee in making arrangements for the smoke concert.

THE ASSOCIATION GAME.

TO-DAY’S PLAY

At 3.30 ,p.m. to-day a match under ■Association rules will be played on Victoria Domain, between a combined ■team and one reprseenting the Taru>heru Club. ,
