REFUSAL TO LOAD A. BARQUE

United Press Association—Copyright NEWCASTLE, Sept. 25.

The coal vend is reported to have refused to load the barque Laura for New Zealand. The vessel has been detained for a fortnight. The objection is alleged to he that the Laura is a new vessel in the coal trade, and not on the list of the vend authorised to he supplied, which cannot furnish cargo without the permission of the Union Company.
