The Moors fired three shots at Gurugu. The Spaniards merely marched to the summit. General Marina’s movement was a complete strategical success, but he failed to engage the Moors, who slipped back through the hills and attacked General Sotomayor, between Gurugu and Melilla, causing several casualties.
