MAGISTRATE'S COURT PROCEEDINGS.

Hannah O’Suliivr.u (Air. Barnard) yesterday sued Patrick O’Sullivan (Air Stock) Kir maintenance. Stock said that his client, with the assistance of his son. paid £6O for the support of two children in Napier, and £2O a year for a boy at Auckland, whom be had to clothe. The defendant said he was employed as a roadman at Kanakanaia, and earned Is per hour when working. Illhealth, however, prevented him from working constantly. If it were not for his son ho could not pay enough to keep himself and the three children referred to. The sen with whom the defendant lives at Kanakanaia said that his father earned £7 a month when working. The three children ho and hie father were keening '•"st over £OO a vear. At present the witness was keeping his father.

His AVorship said it was clear that the defendant had some interest in the Kanakanaia propertv. though it was in liis son’s name. An order was made, for 10s a week, commencing from next Alondav.
