DONCASTER MEETING COMMENCED. United Press Association —Copyright. LONDON, October 17. The weather was fine yesterday, and the Doncaster aviation trials commenced. There was a great' crowd of spectators.

M. De la Grange, aboard a Bleriot monoplane, covered 5-} miles in 111minutes, Mr. Somer, on a Farman biplane, •flying at the same time. Great enthusiasm was displayed. Mr. S.' F. Cody, after successul trial flights, got his biplanes’s wheel caught on the ground when turning a corner. The aeroplane overturned. Mr. Cody was cut on the head, but his wounds are not serious. He hopes to fly on Tuesday. LONDON, October 18. The aviators at Doncaster are using the St. Leger course. There were between fifty and one hundred thousand spectators when Mr. Cody w«v overturned. M. Delagrange jumped on his seat and monoplaned to assist him. The Frenchmen consider Mr. Cody’s biplane too big.. ■■■ The kind blew generally at the rate of 15 miles an hour, and - increased to 25 miles, causing a suspension of the flying. M. Sommer made the longest flight, 91 miles. He also carried a passenger for a short distance.
