A ALAN- -COMMITTED FOR TRIAL. [Per Pitfess Association.! MASTERTON, October 29. At the S.M. Court this morning Alfred Charles Warren was committed to trial at the next sitting of the Supreme Court at Wellington on a charge of the abduction of a ten-year-old boy. The father of the boy stated in evidence that his wife had left with accused, taking three children with her. Complainant obtained a divorce and an order for the custody of the children, and took the children to a boardinghouse at Alatiere, on the Alain Trunk line, where accused and the mother of he children appeared one morning, forced open the window, dragged the l'ov out, and drove away with him. Bail was allowed, in the accused’s own recognisances, in £IOO.
