EARTH TREMORS IN AUSTRALIA

A severe earth tremor was experienced on Saturday evening. No damage was done.
A MOTOR CAR FATALITY.
A motor car collided with an electric light pole. The car somersaulted and was smashed: Miss Bunke was killed and several other passengers were slightly injured.

STARTLING ACCIDENT IN* PARIS
PARIS. Nov. 1
The Montmartre (Paris) pavement suddenly opened and engulfed a man and a woman. The man was rescued with difficulty, but the woman disappeared. The accident was due to the presence of disused quarries beneath the street.
