TWO JUDGMENTS
[Per Pni'Pß Association. l WELLINGTON, Dec. 1. The Arbitration Court gave judgment in two appeals from the Magistrate’s decisions. In the first ease the appeal of the Cook and Steward’s Union against the Union Steamship Company in reference to the payment: of overtime to a messroom -reward, Avho'worked on a vessel arriving in~tt roadstead port on Sunday or holiday, and leaving again the same day,_was upheld. In the second case. Tailors’ Union v. Kirkcaldie and Stains, the question Avas whether the. firm had distributed certain work on the “team system.” The Magistrate held that tiiev had not, and the Arbitration Court held that the matter avos one of fact, and his decision was final. The union’s appeal Avas therefore dismissed.
