GISBORNE CLUB
Weather permitting, this afternoon the semi-finals of the handicap fours will be played at 2 o’clock sharp, when Lucas, Bullock, Benzie, and Witty (skip) nlay Brown, Morgan, R. G. Crawford, and J. J. Martin (skip); and Zachariah, Burton, Mackintosh, and W. Pettie (skip) play Johnstone, Williams, W. R. Clarkson, and R. Robertson (skip). . At 4 o’clock the present holders of ■the Eure stars Redstone, Hoolcey, J. Coleman, and W. Pettie (skip), have to defend them again the next challenging team, Zachariah, F. Harris, Ambridge, and J. J. Martin (skip). TURANGANUI CLUB. Should the weather prove favorable the first round in the Handicap Pairs of the Turanganui Bowling Club will be completed this afternoon and several matches in the Bennett Cup competition may eventuate. Afternoon tea will be provided if the weather be fine.
