The races for the Robertson trophies were continued last niglit, when three -events were got off. Bragge Blakely, Hall, and Stubbs beat C. Clark, Nicolas, Bristow, rand Jones by about a length and a-half, rather easily. r , , M. McLeod, Williams, B. McLeod, and Ensor beat Holschier, Burdett, Robertson, and Collingwood by about a length, after a good race. T. McConnell. Parker, Clark, and Peterson beat Webb, Patterson, Lloyd, and Airey by close on two lengths. The semi-finals will be rowed to-day. In the morning Bragge meets T. McConnell. and this evening McLeod meets Doig. The final will be rowed to-morrow evening.

NEW ZEALAND AMATEUR ROWING ASSOCIATION.

FPer Puebb Association.! WELLINGTON, Dec. 22. The Council of the New Zeaiaml Amateur Rowing Association io-nigbt considered a letter from the Tasmanian Union in connection with the rowing carnival at Hobart from February J9tti to March 4th. The prizes for interstate fours are a £25 shield and five aold medals. It was explained r„jt Tasmania had previously guiranteed £4O towards the expenses ot a Now Zealand crew. The Council decided to make up the balance required. It the Council 'is satisfied that the best crew wins the championship at the regatta at Picton next month, that crew will be sent to Tasmania. The Canterbury Association asked whether B. Howard, who had competed with a lifeboat crew, was still entitled to tow as an amateur. It was decided that he is. J. M. ’Jackson was suspended for violating- his amateur status.
