CHEMIST’S SHOP BURNED AT WANGANUI. rpim PilKss Association.! WANGANUI, Dec. . 26. A fire occurred early this morning in Barnard’s chemist’s shop. The stock, which was valued at £BOO, was destroyed by fire’ and water. ; The Yorkshire Office held a risk for £550 over it. The insurance on the building was not obtainable. TWO FIRES IN CHRISTCHURCH. CHRISTCHURCH, Dec. 26. A four-roomed house in Cumberland Street, Richmond, owned_ bj' John Brooker, who is in the North Island, was totally destroyed by fire on Saturday morning. The insurance was unobtainable. The same morning a five-roomed dwelling in Armagh Street was found to be on fire. Incendiarism is suspected. The -building was damaged, but was not- destroyed.
