HIS FUTURE MOVEMENTS.

Although His Excellency the Governor will not be leaving the Dominion until next May or June, he intends after Lady Plunlcet’s departure next month to spend almost the whole of the remainder of his term, of office travelling throughout New Zealand. Consequently lie will have no further use for his horses and carriages, which are to be offered for sale at an early date. On January Ist Their Excellencies will leave Palmerston North, Lady Plunket going to ltuanui to spend a fortnight there with her children, while the Governor is oh ajisliing expedition. They will return to Wellington later on, and be in the capital for two weeks or so before Her Excellency sails on February 10th. A Her Lady Plunket’s departure the Governor will visit the West Coast of the South Island, stopping at the principal towns, and will return to Wellington in time for the election (on March Ist) of next year’s Rhodes scholar. Almost immediately afterwards His Excellency intends to travel in the Nelson district. His future movements are not at present definitely settled, but the Governor expects to be travelling through the country d uring’the, greater part of March, April and May, making Wellington his headquarters.
