STATE COAL MINE.
VISIT OF THE MINISTER OF ' MINES, IP Kit I’lti-.HB Association.t GREYMOUTH, Jan. 3. The Hon. It. McKenzie, Minister of Mines, visited the State mine, and had a conference with the Miners’ Executive regarding the State mine trouble to-day. The conference lasted over an hour."' Oil being interviewed the Minister stated he could make no statement, as nothing had been definitely settled. The miners meet to-morrow to consider the matter, and will communicate with the Minister in the evening. The Minister is hopeful that a satisfactory settlement will be arrived at. The Minister visits tile Blackball miners to-morrow.
