GISBORNE CLUB. The Gisborne Club’s green witnessed a large muster of members on Saturday afternoon, and some very enjoyable play took place, tlie green being in good order and the weather all that oonld be desired. The results of the principal games played were as follows : •' Lewis, Harris, Hookey. Ponsford (skip) 17, beat Coleman, Bullock, Dodd, Greig (skip) 14. —This was a very exciting game, and was won on the last head. Wootton, Dyer, Benzie, Bright (skip) 21, beat Maher, Cave, W. Pettie; Ifwerson (skip) 16. Redstone, Paltridge, Ambridge (skip) 27, beat Chapman, Brown. Mackintosh (skip) 12. TTJRANGANUI OLL T B. There was a good muster of players on the Turanganui Chib’s green on Saturday afternoon, when the green was- in splendid order. Among the games played were the semi-final in the Pennant Fours, the results of which were:— —Pennant Fours. —

H. Martin, W. H. Douglas, J. D. Jeune, and J. Colley (skip) 24 beat V. Hooper, D. B. McSkimming, B. Hird, and J. P. Williams (skip) 18.—-In this game D. Hepburn and M. G. Nasmith senr. acted as substitutes _ for Hooper and McSkimming respectively. Colley’s team assumed the lead, and on tlie 7th head secured a five, but on the next head Williams’ four balanced tlie score bv obtaining a like number. Colley’s rink then again drew away, and on the final head had a victory by six points. G. Edwards, R. Tihelwall, P. E. Hallam, and J. J. Martin (skip) 23 beat PI. Anderson, H. J. Finn, R. McWliirter and M. G. Nasmith junr. (skip) 15. —ln this game W. Bruce and W. Rateliffe acted as substitutes respectively for Edwards and Hallam. On the sth head the scores were level—4 all, and then Martin’s four gradually drew away, winning eventually by eight points. The final between Martin’s and Colley’s rinks will be played tliis week. —President’s Fours.— Entries are now being received for the President’s Fours (.handicap), for gold medals presented by the president, Mr. W. Bruce. Entries close on Saturday next. —Bennett! Cup.— The following is the position of the various players in this competition at the conclusion of the ninth week's play:—W. SOUTH ISLAND TOURNAMENT.

' fpjen PtiKSH Association, f DUNEDIN, Jan. 22. Tho bowling tournament was concluded to-da.v in fine weather. In the final for the doubles, Dr. Allan and J. Tait (Taieri) met J. Scott and C. J. Payne (Tahuna), the former winning by 19 to 15. Scott led well for Payne, and was holding his own against Dr. Allan, but the Taieri skip showed, superiority over Payne. There was agood deal of driving in the game, and was a somewhat new feature in the tournament. Tait nut in some very effective work in this direction, but Pavne’s drives were somewhat erratic and, .as a general rule, not productive of good. . In the final for the rink champion-'' ship, Wcdderspoon (Roslyn) and Service (North-end, Invercargill) continued tlieir game, fourteen heads,, of which had already been played, the score being North-End 13, Roslyn 12. Service went on increasing his lead, and finished four up. Kaitangata and Dunedin (Dali) played off for third place, the. former winning by 22 to 16. In the final of the rink tournament North End {Service, skip) beat Roslyn (Wcdderspoon) 1 by 18.
