SOUTHERN COLLIERIES RESUMING WORK.
United Press Association— Copyright SYDNEY, Feb. 14. Some of the Southern collieries have resumed work. Later. —All the Southern mines have started working except the North Bulli, South Clifton, and Metropolitan. The last-named is only delayed through a mishap to the machinery.
NEWCASTLE MINERS PROBABLY RESUME NEXT WEEK.
(Received February 14, G. 30 p.m.) The Coledale, not the North Bulli mine, has not resumed. J udge Scholes, after conferring with the Newcastle owners to-day, announced that both sides agreed to his proposal for the resumption of Avork. He sees nothing to (prevent the resumption of Avork on Monday next.
TERMS OP SETTLEMENT NOT DISCLOSED.

Judge Scholes will not disclose the terms of the settlement unlil the Wages Board meets in Wednesday. "'(Received February 15, 1.5 a.m.)
Voting is proceeding at NeAA'castle on the question of accepting the Wages Board. At present the numbers for and against are very close, the affirnuo tivo voting being slightly ahead. A ballot of three large lodges is yet to come.
