ENTERTAINMENTS.

PATHE PICTRES. After an interval of four nights. His Majesty's Theatre -was again occupied by the' Pathe Picture proprietary last night. There Avas a rairiy large attendance, and the new programme of pictures appeared to be- thoroughly enjoyed. A very A*aried and interesting ;-et cf films Avas shown, comparing pictures of scenic, histone, dramatic and humorous interest. An interesting film Avas one depicting the recent visit of the Portuguese monarch to England and two pictures “Panther Hunting in Java” and "Broncho Breaking in the Argentine” were distinctly instructive. Dramatic films were a feature of the programme, and included some powerful subjects, amongst- which, were “The Hostage,” “The Death of the Due d’Enghien,” “Fools of Fate.” and "The Scar.”' The latter Avas a prettily colored film. As usual the comic element was well in evidence, and in this section of the programme some most amusing films Avere shown. Amongst the best of them Avere: "Her Dolly's Revenge,” “A Bad Coin,” "They would be Acrobats,” “Pig Chase by Aeroplane.” On the whole the programme is an excellent one, and affords an enjoyable evening’s entertainment. An entire change of -programme ivill be submitted to-morrow night.
