A large public meeting at Toronto unanimously recommended Sir AYilfrid Laurier to add two or more Dreadnoughts to the naval proposals, and to build them first.

The Montreal “Star" denounces both Sir AYilfrid Laurior’s and the Opposition’s naval policies, and advocates Britain building Canada's ships, the Dominion paying the cost and interest-, ■the ships to be recognised as Canadian, and manned and officered by Canadians, Canada to have the power of giving two years’ notice to recall any or all of the ships, and to place them under ■the Canadian Naval Department.
