CHASING THE LAMA

Lord Alorley, Secretary for India, and the Earl of Alinto, the Viceroy, are discussing the policy of sending someone to meet the Tashi Lama.
R-eut-er’s correspondent states that the Chinese hotly pursued the Dalai Lama night and day. Arriving at a ferry he left his escort .engaging the pursuers, and thus gained time, but lie was pursued to the borders of Sikkim country.
