POVERTY BAY CLUB. Owing to two of the youths’ challenge crews racing last evening, the single sculling events were postponed, the two contestants for the sculling being members of a challenge crew. G. Scents, P. Stubbs, L. Pavitt and J. Martin defeated L. Nicolas, S. Bristow, H. Bean and N. Ingram by about a length and a half after a hard race. This • evening the picked youths’ crew will row another challenge four consisting of J. Lloyd, J. O’Neill, L. Clark and j. Walters. The winners of this race will row off with Scents’ crew oil Saturday evening. BARRY’S EXPENSES. United Piiess Association —Coi’yrigiit LONDON, March 9. Subscriptions for Barry’s expenses now amount to nearly £BOO.
