Heavy wind and rain was experienced all day. The principal events fired were the Champion teams match, first stage of the Empire Match, and the Gordon Highlanders’ trophy. The Taradale and Nelson Rifles tied for third place, and get £6 ss, each scoring 454; Ghura R.C., £o, 451; Tewharau, £5, 449; Karori A team, £5, 446; Wellington City Rifles, £2 10s, 445. , New Zealand won the Gordon Highlanders’ trophy by 7 bits to 4 and at the close of the Empire match, first stage.
