STARS MATCH. A game was played on the Gisborne Green yesterday for the Eure Stars, Benzie’s rink defeating Hennessy’s by 25 to 14. The following are the scores: —Zachariah, Smith, McMillan, Benzie (skip) 25, beat Ashton, Barber, Eure and Hennessy (skip) 14. CHALLENGE "SHIELD MATCH. A couple of matches for the district Challenge Shield were also decided. In the first game City Barber, (sub). Miller, Smith and Benzie (skip) 20, defeated Whataupoko, Carson, Hennessy, Greig, and Crawford( skip) 14. In the second game City also proved successful, defeating their Wihataupoko opponents by 25 to 16. The teams in the latter match were constituted as follows: —City .
