ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES.
HOSPITAL PORTERS END. [PEE PRESS ASSOCIATIONS AUCKLAND, August 10. A dead body, found in the scrub, with a lvsol bottle alongside, has been identified as that of Daniel Condon, porter at the hospital, aged 50 years, who had been missing two months. WOMAN FOUND DEAD. NAPIER, August 10. A married woman, Fanny Harris, aged 54, wife of Thomas Harris, lineman, was found dead in a quary at the rear of her residence early this morning. Deceased liad suffered ill health for a considerable time, and last week attempted to commit suicide by drinking a match head solution. SYRIAN HAWKER’S DEATH. INVERCARGILL, August 10. A Syrian hawker, Y'usif Suffra, aged GO. fell or jumped from a train at Makerewa last mglit, and sustained a fracture of the skull and other injuries, resulting in his death at the hospital to-day.
