SOME SOCIAL ITEMS. (By “Rosalind”) Miss Dolly Robjolins, daughter of Mrs J. R. Robjolins, Napier, is to be married in March to Dr. A. Court, of Christchurch. The engagement is announced or Aliss Lulu Bolton, of AYooclville, to AD’ Ralph Robertshaw, son of the Rev. E. Hubertsliaw, of Dannevirko. The well-known black and white artist, Airs Begg, who went to India in connection with the Durbar festivities, is at present on a visit to relations in Napier. Air and Airs William Barton (Sydney) are on a visit to Gisborne. Air and Airs Hodge, Tarulioru, have gone for a. trip to London. Airs J. 11. Harding is -on a visit to Auckland. Lady Carroll is on a. visit to AYellington and attended the opening of Parliament. An engagement announced in Wellington recently is that of Aliss Ethel Hose AVilliams', youngest daughter of Mr S. S. Williams, Wellington, to AD' Albert E. Newlands, Sydney. Now the summer is declining we must begin tfi consider our warmer clothing, and be in readiness should a cold snap 'of weather set in. The remnant counters just now offer some tempting materials that will make up excellently for house gowns in the autumn—plain Afagyar effect frocks will he easily made up and most comfortable.
