At the Gisborne Bowling Club’s green yesterday some very interesting games were played by members. About forty assembled and play was •indulged in from 10 a.m. till the evening. The scores in the games played during the morning were: —Cobb, McMillan and Brown (skip) 2S beat Horne, Wootton and Paltridge (skip) 24; Allen, Smith and Pettie (skip) 18 limt Leslie, Williams and Crawford (skip) 16; Graham, Morgan, Lawrence and Robertson (skip) 26 beat Hooper, Miller, Thelwall and Craig (skip) 15; Ethorington, George, Ivy me and Bright (skip) 20 beat Gatland. Wittv, Maher, and Ponsford (skip! 16.
In the afternoon the games resumed :—Redstone, Barber, Brown, Bright (skip) 31 beat Horne, Witty, Corson and T. A. Crawford (skip) 27 ; Gotland, Ashton, Wootton and Kyme (skip) 17 beat Murray, H. Miller, Lawrence and Greig (skip) 14, Graham. Thorne-George, Boulton and Robertson (skip) 23 drew with Hooper, R. A. Johnston, Maher, McMil'an (skip) 23. Bunting. Leslie, Hookey and Craig (skip) 23 beat Cobb, Morgan, Paltridge, and Ponsford (skin) 13; Allan, Harris, W. Pettie and Smith (skip) 2-5 beat Barry, Williams, Pryor and Eure (skip) 18.

Advantage was taken of the holiday yesterday to get in a full day’s play at the Turanganui green. In the morning a couple of interesting games were played, which were remarkable for the runaway victories scored in each instance. Sawyer’s rink defeated Arnold’s by the wide margin of 26 to 7 } while Grey’s rink ran away from "Williams’ to the tune of 60 to 4There was a large attendance in the afternoon, when a number of enjoyable games were played, and a very pleasant time was spent. Skeet (skip) was very evenly contested throughout, -and after an exciting finish resulted in a win for the former by 20 to 19. Entries closed yesterday for the championship fours and the championship singles, and for each competition 30 entries were received.
