HOCKEY.
MERCANTILE V. WEST END. An exciting game of hookey was witnessed on the Childers Road Reserve- on Saturday, when Mercantile (McDougall, captain) beat West Jin<‘ B (Olsen, captain) by one point to nil. The game was very fast, and excitement was at- a. high pitch I aui Hudson scored a fine goal for Mercantile, and West End vamly tried to match it. Roth teams deionded well, and when the final whistle went, the Mercantile team was still one jpojnt ahead. Messrs -tun and J. W u>s acted as referees.
