As the public are woll aware, the Band unselfishly decided to forego their claim to £IOOO from the Carnival, and it is only a small matter for the residents to appreciate their action- and assist in this moveslnent. The chair is to be taken at 8 p.m. sharp, and the business will in (dude the setting up of a strong committee to arrange for the campaign, election of officials and general business. The convenors—Messrs. John, TownIcy, James: Brown, and W. F. Cod-ep-wa-M—are warrant enough r to ensure success of tlie movement.
