At Wednesday’s meeting of the Wairoa Boxing Assodaiion ; t was decided to run the next tournament on Friday, March 11. !t is proposed to match Jack Hceney '(ij.shci ne'i with Bob Fitzsimmons (Wellington), if possible, for a medium-sized purse. Several first-class amateur bouts will also be staged. As there are now several promising local labs, Walla.ce, HaydenJ Franklin, White, Barrett and others available, no doubt suitable opponents will be found for them.—Star. The Hawke’s Bay Association is not having the best of luck in arranging their contest for the 27th. Lin Robinson fails o an-wer 'coirespondence, and he will no doubt be asked by the New Zealand Boxing Council to explain his atti.tu.de - H.Jh Herald.
