WAIRARAPA v. N.S-'.W. MASTEUTUN, Jen. 10; The Wairarapa Lawn Tennis Association to-night accepted the oiler of the New Zealand Council for the appearance in Masterton on January 17 of the New South Wales team against a Wairarapa representative team. It was decided to secure the assistance of outside players to strengthen the home team.—P.A.

The Palmerston North tennis tournament was continued in glorious weather to-day, when the eliminating : rounds were wished a stage further. Owing to the lateness of the New Plymouth and Auckland tournaments,: and the Wanganui match with, the New South Wales touring team, a number of leading players were late in arriving:, and in only a few in- 1 stances did the champions clash.
In tiie most important singles match T. Clark (Auckland) met Don Franco and defeated him G—o, G—s. Three strong pairs, Wilson and Park (Wellington), Clark and Hobson (Auckland), and Haege and Malfroy remain to light out the doubles championship. Mrs Melody and Miss Spoil's should have no trouble with the ladies’ doubles, and these two players are likely to contest the final for singles honors.
To-morrow N.S.W. tourists meet wlmt is nractically a New Zealand representative team, strengthened by the inclusion of Haege (Victoria). # in an exhibition match. The following imve been chosen to meet the tourists: —E. D. Andrews, P. Haege, N. Wilson, I). France, Malfroy and E. T. Robson. —P.A.
